Fintech – From Practice to Applications in Teaching and Learning
Faculty Scientific Conference 2025
Financial Technology (Fintech) has significantly impacted the field of Finance and Accounting. Accordingly, financial and accounting practices in enterprises and banks worldwide, including Vietnam, in the context of digital transformation can be broadly characterized by five key technologies: the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data, Cloud Computing, and Blockchain. These digital technologies aim to enhance the efficiency of financial and accounting processes, enabling them to be conducted quickly, anytime and anywhere, with improved security. At the same time, accounting organizations within enterprises become more flexible, and financial reports provide richer, multidimensional, and more valuable information.
In parallel, the Finance and Banking sector has been identified as one of the eight priority areas for early digital transformation. The sector has been proactively leading the implementation of digital transformation roadmaps, with specific targets set for the 2021–2025 period to develop e-finance and digital finance. By 2030, the goal is to establish a fully digitalized financial system and a smart financial ecosystem.
