On March 18 2023, the first International Conference on Economics (ICE2023) was held successfully at Hall C, University of Food Industry Ho Chi Minh City (HUFI). The conference co-organized by the three faculties: the Faculty of Finance and Accounting, the Faculty of Business Administration and the Faculty of Food and Tourism alongside with University of Sannio (Italy), University of Salento (Italy), I-Shou University (Taiwan), International University of Rabat (Morocco) is an important event receiving great attention and participation of experts, scholars, researchers in Vietnam and abroad.

In the context of the explosion of science and technology, digital transformation has become an inevitable trend. Each industry and field needs movement and changes to adapt. Research trends of universities around the world are big data, analyzing data on digital platforms to support businesses to change business methods and develop a market economy. Therefore, Ho Chi Minh City University of Food Industry has cooperated with domestic and foreign units and universities to organize the 𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯 with the topic "big data, digital transformation in the economic, financial, banking and tourism sectors” which welcomed several researchers, scholars, experts and practitioners in the areas.

In the opening speech given by Dr. Bui Hong Dang - Vice Rector of University of Food Industry HCMC, Dr. Dang also addressed the importance and aim of ICE to create an annual and reputable research platform in the future to share and exchange knowledge especially about contemporary matters of business world today.

The conference was attended by 22 domestic and foreign universities and colleges with more than 109 presentations, focusing on topics such as 'E-commerce and Digital Marketing', 'Finance and Banking', 'Digital Economy and Digital Transformation', 'Business Administration and Strategy',  'Local Economy and Economic Development', and 'Green and Sustainable Economy' with 5 presentations from keynote speakers.

The 1st International Conference on Economics - ICE 2023 was held extremely successfully.
