The Faculty of Finance and Accounting was established under Decision No. 360/QĐ-DCT dated May 15, 2010, issued by the President of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade (formerly known as the University of Food and Industry).

Along with the continuous development of HCMC University of Industry and Trade, the Faculty has become one of the leading departments of University in terms of student enrolment, curriculum quality, and training activities. The Faculty proudly serves as a trusted provider of high-quality human resources in the fields of banking, finance, and accounting. Currently it offers diverse academic programs ranging from undergraduate to graduate education.

Embracing the significant role in educating and providing future labor force to the economy tailored to the needs of the country, the Faculty has been growing exponentially over the past years in terms of sustaining quality of training and continuously changing to be adaptable to new changes of the Vietnamese economy and society. The Faculty of Finance and Accounting has consistently fulfilled its educational mission by strengthening its academic staff, enhancing management quality, improving study programmes, and enriching student learning experiences.

For the academic programs: currently offers three majors: Accounting and Auditing; Finance and Banking, whose undergraduate programs for two majors are accredited by MOET – the national quality accreditation standard by the Ministry of Education and Training; and the new birth of the training programme Financial Technology (Fintech) in accordance with changes in the global economic platform.

The Faculty of Finance and Accounting remains committed to upholding its core values and fulfilling its educational mission, contributing significantly to the development of HCMC University of Industry and Trade in particular and Vietnam as a whole. With a steadfast dedication to academic quality, the Faculty aspires to establish itself as a leading and prestigious center for higher education in Vietnam.
